Fishkit was born in Cometclan, only to wake up the next day to find that his parents had left him behind. He ran away from Comet and landed in Stormclan, lucky for him, his parents had both moved there. He was devastated to find that his mother, Dappleclaw, had left his father, Flintscar, for another tomcat named Ferretfang. Something inside him began to break after seeing the way they acted towards each other. He remained there with them for a little while, and eventually his parents left once again, this time, Fishkit could not follow.
Leaving Stormclan heart-broken, he moved to Meadowclan, and felt right at home. The clan was understanding and kind to him for a good while, and he befriended a young kit named Ivykit, who was a few moons older than him. Everything was going perfectly in his new life, and he even was adopted by an affectionate she-cat named Skyfall. She replaced the gaping void inside and soon he had a new father as well: Kingpelt.
Unfortunately, the happiness did not last. Two bullies arrived, Lostkit and Fawnkit and seemed to hate the whole clan. They were especially cruel to Fishkit and Ivykit. The bullying did not cease until Lostkit suddenly left, and only Fawnkit remained. Almost immediately her behavior changed, and she seemed pleased with Fishkit, and was kinder to him. If only Fishkit could celebrate this win, but he couldn’t, because his best friend, Ivykit, had disappeared.
The death of the day gripped the kit’s heart like a cold claw. Skyfall had died of an unknown disease… and was snatched away from Fishkit. He longed for her, and even his old mother and father. His first parents memory had been stored in the back of his mind for a long time, but after Ivykit had gone, the hopelessness flooded back into his life. And it made it even worse that a kit called Stonekit had become his kit-hood enemy for almost all his time in Meadowclan. Eventually, they managed to avoid each other. But it wasn’t the same without his missing friend.
Apprentice time!! After a puppy battle near camp, Fishkit staggered to his clan and lined up with the other kits for the ceremony. He was bleeding freely from a jagged cut on his shoulder, but was determined to keep quiet and listen as Thawstar began to speak. A kit was called forward and given it’s Apprentice name, then the leader called for Fishkit, and he limped up to the highrock, straightening proudly. The excitement died out in his eyes as he looked down at the crowd of clan cats, his only ‘family’ left, Kingpelt, was visible among the cluster. He wanted to cry out for Skyfall, but he knew she was never coming back. The sickness had stolen her away from him.
Soon after his name became Fishpaw, the clan crumbled. Meadowclan ‘died’ after Thawstar’s mysterious disappearance. He roamed a bit, joining Iceclan to visit Dappleclaw, but then turning away and joining Snowclan. None of those clans worked out, and he eventually ended up in one of the most ‘ancient’ clans. The home of the Nightborns. The fierce, the brave and the Loyal: Nightclan.
Your probably confused. So Fishpaw ended up finding his long lost mother again, and had visited her quite often. But, BEFORE Nightclan, he visited his mother for the last time. He had asked her to come see him in Meadowclan, but she had been practically chased away by a Meadowclan warrior. Fishpaw was furious, and followed his mother away. All of Iceclan was angry at Meadow for the way they had acted towards the aging she-cat. Later… Fishpaw sat at his dying mother’s side, grooming her fur and remaining with her until her stubborn heart finally stopped beating… and Dappleclaw was free of her burdens. That was the last straw for Fishpaw. After all that happened in his life… something finally snapped. He became a changed kitty.
The loss of one opens the heart for another… and Fishpaw was very grateful for his mother-like figure, Ravinfur. She was the deputy of Iceclan, and had been a good friend (or sister… can’t remember) of Dappleclaw. Fishpaw also befriended a young, mute kit named Dapplekit. He loved to come visit her and Ravinfur. The kit died later on, but was reborn as Willowkit, no longer mute. (My memory is pretty bad sometimes! So sorry if I got any of this wrong, Dappleclaw!) Ravinfur later became leader of Iceclan, and moved the clan from the mountains to Mistfall.
As for Fishpaw…
Home sweet home! It was a great success in Nightclan… except for one thing. Over time, all the loss and pain and grief and anger that had been building up inside Fishpaw was finally revealed. He turned into a ‘monster’. Dark and cold, he kept his distance from the others, a strange Dark Forest evil inside him. He knew that if he grew close to anyone ever again, they would be taken away from him. He kept to himself, barely eating and usually wandering away from camp, for his fear of his clan had grown.
He resided in Nightclan and still does to this day, continuing to visit Ravinstar as much as he can… though after Iceclan was turned over to an Ice warrior, she disappeared with her mate, not to be seen again for some time.
Now Fishpaw has been taking training sessions with a Dark Forest tomcat named Gorge. He is a burly brown tabby who only attacks the apprentice until submission or until he wakes up. Fishpaw has dishonored Starclan by killing one of his own clanmates, Cloudedspirit. He then stole the cat's life force to be swapped later on... A warrior found out about the killing and attacked, chasing out the evil apprentice.
It was a horrible turn of events, and he fled from Nightclan. The first part of his Dark Omen has come true:

Fishpaw realized his mother was not coming back, and that Gorge was just tricking Fishy into taking lives to swap not for Fishpaw's mother, but for his own life so that he could return to the real world and escape from the Dark Forest. Furious, ashamed, heart-broken, grief-stricken, all those, Fishpaw spat out Cloudedspirit's life he had been containing and the cat he murdered was finally released into Starclan. Fishpaw killed (technically, you can't kill a cat who is already dead) Gorge and left the Dark Forest, hoping to never return. But he would... most likely.
Later on, after Fishpaw murdered Cloudedspirit, he and Ivy were reunited. Ivy had even "adopted" a little grey colored she-kit named Silverkit. They both lived happily in Hollow Woods for a time, as happily as they could, until recently Ivy (and Silverkit) disappeared. Fishpaw was completely devastated at their disappearance, and ran away to search for them. Unfortunately, they were nowhere to be found.
Needing to do some soul-searching, Fishpaw traveled to live in the mountains where the Moon Tree resided, away from clans and troubles. Though he could not run away from all his troubles. Starclan, of course, sensed his presence at their sacred land and confronted him. Led by a starry she-cat who had tried to convert Fishpaw before, they chased him away furiously. (Beforehand, Fishpaw had disrespected Starclan many times. He spat on the Moon Tree and turned away from them)
Now, Fishpaw returned to Hollow Woods, lost and broken. He missed Ivy terribly, and could not understand how or why she had suddenly vanished. He finds comfort in his sister, Luckyclover, and tries not to think too much of the past... though the past always has its way of sneaking up on you when you least expect it.

"Shadow Travel" allows Fishpaw to literally travel from shadow to shadow. It seems totally OP but it has a major weakness: every time Fishy travels from one shadow to another, a part of him becomes shadow. Not visibly a shadow. Eventually, if he uses it too much, he will turn into a shadow forever.
