Setting:
Midnight, moon is in the middle of the sky
Sparkheart is in the med den, sick
Shadestar is with her, along with the med cats
Story:
Sparkheart let out a wheezing cough, wincing as Shadestar licked her over the head. "At least....we got to meet eachother...in this life." Sparkheart rasped, smiling softly. Shadestar bent her head down to her friend, nose to nose. "Why must Starclan do this..." She muttered.
Sparkheart smiled, coughing again. "It is just my time to go, your will come too, friend. But not now, don't let my death distract you from what really matters: your clan. You must-" She coughed again, the a medicine cat giving her another herb. "You must be strong."
A tear rolled down Shadestar's face. "Yes of course...but I will miss you." Sparkheart smiled once more. "This...is not the way I thought I would pass...but at least I am here with you." Shadestar buried her head in her friends matted, old fur. "This is a warriors death, Sparkheart. You have earned it."
Sparkheart closed her eyes, setting her head down on her moss nest, the life leaving her body. Shadestar cried out, burying her head deeper into the dead cat's fur, sobbing.
Sparkheart's spirit rose from her body, licking Shadestar once on the nose, then ascending up into the starry night sky. She watched as Shadestar layed there, by her old body, till the sun rose.
She watched as the medicine cats declared the news to the clan, as they shared tongues with her body for the last time. Sparkheart cried, causing a great rain to pour down, covering her burial site, which was in a field, covered in flowers.
PART TWO COMING SOON!
